About the National Program of Disease and Health Outcomes Registration

The National Program for Registration of Diseases and Health Outcomes was established early 2014 in the Deputy for Research and Technology of the Ministry of Health and Medical Education with the main goal of launching and establishing at least twenty registration programs in priority health topics in the country.

This program is responsible for organizing existing registration systems in universities and creating a suitable platform for designing new registration systems in the field of health as an infrastructure for expanding medical and health sciences research.

The registry system plays an effective role in diagnosing and measuring the spread of a specific disease or a health event in society and enables the health system to better and more effectively monitor the quality of health services provided. The registry system also provides a suitable source for diagnosing patients for the purpose of conducting subsequent research studies such as cohort studies and clinical trials.
